Re: MIDI loopback devices in Scope?

thats what the loopback devices in the OS are needed for. They can route any other midi to the creamware midi I/Os I appreciate that - but it would be kind of handy to use the nice graphical SFP interface to enable MIDI routing directly to external interfaces & ports rather than via the Scope M...

Re: MIDI loopback devices in Scope?

It would be quite handy if you could "see" other MIDI devices that are installed in the same computer from within the SFP Routing Window - e.g. PC or USB MIDI Interfaces....

Thanks for the EMS pics Jimmy. I was lucky enough to get a place on the postgrad Diploma in Electronic Sound course at UC Cardiff back in 1978 where they had a Synthi 100 and a few other EMSs (VCS3s and Synthi A - the synth in a suitcase). As I'm not a keyboard player, these were great instruments b...

Your Scope cards should receive ADAT signals OK from the Dakotas - the Scope system is the timing master - the Dakotas slaves for both input and output. So what you have described should work fine!

Hi Brian, I have a similar set-up in that it includes both Scope and Dakota/Montana. It works fine connected via ADAT. Just set the Scope to be the timing master and the Dakota(s) to slave using the appropriate ADAT port as timing reference. You can do this via one of the tabs on the Dakota tray. Yo...
