Re: RME raydat AND scope connected together!
I use a similar setup: Main DAW on MAC with a RME Raydat Scope PC with 1xScope and 2xPulsar2 I pretty often use TotalMix's snapshots for comparing FXs or mixes, eg. mix without anything vs. mix with PsyQ and Optimaster. I use Scope for 2 FX-chains for my Rhodes 3 FX-chains for my Git 2 FX-chains for...

Re: any downsides of short latency ?
again, if you monitor the vocal and the playback in the Scope mixer, there is no latency to deal with, even though the DAW has latency. the playback is heard when it is heard and the vocal happens at the same time. Yes! As long as the recorded vocals are compensated correctly by the DAW. I posted t...

Re: any downsides of short latency ?
If you connect via ADAT or the other scope hardware in/outs, the latency of scope is like the latency of a digital mixer. Should be around 1 or 2 msec. The latency of the ULLI-settings only refer to the ASIO driver of scope. If you set up the ASIO-driver of the RME card in Samplitude, you can just a...

Did you check IRQ-sharing?
Maybe your P1 shares an IRQ with an other controller...
If not you could try to clean your PCI-connector with alcohol.

afaik you need a new key for v5.1 but the keys for the devices work in v5.0, v5.1 and v7

garyb is NOT the one selling this item.
He just answered the question about the firewire connection.
You have to wait for an answer of Franz.

Re: What AD/DA converter box for the Xite-1
I want a Z-Link- and a Sync-plate for the CW SCOPE 15DSP card now. If I remember right: In Z-Link mode the PCI-Card has to be master and the A16Ultra has only the slave option. That means you can't sync a system running in Z-Link mode to another external source like wordclock. I have got the same &...

Re: I want a damn XITE-1D
RME has many AUX-Channels. Every output has it's own submix. If you have a card with 32 outputs and mix stereo, that's 30 mono auxes.
It is like in many digital mixers: select the aux (the output you use for your external fx) and then change the volume of the channel you want the aux to be fed with.

Re: Audio/MIDI Interface with Mixer
My BCF2000 in HUI or Mackie mode controls the Multiface mixer just fine. Yes. That is exactly the first solution I pointed to. Since he has already an A16Ultra, I would go for a PCI-E card with ADAT. It's just one piece of gear less but a better and more stable system because the connection between...

Re: Audio/MIDI Interface with Mixer
For live use I would prefer Ableton Live. It's really stable in use for that purpose in every context you could imagine around the whole world. The mixer has many, many useful features for live mixing no other system has (ok, maybe bitwig). Changing whole signal chains on a channel is setup in minut...

Re: bios and windows tweaks
I'm not into win/pci-e configurations, but with win/pci there have been problems when irqs are shared between the pci-slot and an usb-controller.
