Re: bios and windows tweaks

yes, a usb controller that shares an irq with the XITE should probably be disabled.

Re: bios and windows tweaks

you need to find out what is running in the background that is eating cpu cycles. you did disable EIST and Turbo and Hyperthreading in the bios, right? no, there's no issue with XITE andf sandy bridge and win10, that i am aware of. One Drive is definitely a good suspect, but the firewall and defende...

Re: Creamware Pulsar 1 Help/Support/Install files needed

xp is fine for that., but other windows OSs will work about as well.
Scope doesn't crash when windows crashes, but you'd no longer be able to move any knobs, etc...

it's very doable. with an ssd for a C: drive, you can boot most versions of Windows and open all your apps in 60-90 seconds...

Re: 64bit drivers and modules: what is working and what is not

actually, the ASIO drivers are VERY stable, even in 64bit.
if you need the samplers, then, yes. 32bit is the only choice.

the drivers are not involved with Scope plugins. the STS issues have nothing to do with the drivers.

vms? no.

Re: Creamware Pulsar 1 Help/Support/Install files needed

well, v2 isn't so special, so if you want to test to see if you want to use it, v4.5 is better for that. the thing is, you could have already had v4.5... :D

Re: Creamware Pulsar 1 Help/Support/Install files needed

if you have your old keyfile, then send a copy to SC when you ask for the v4.5 keyfile and you'll get new keys for those plugins, too.

v4.5 is sufficient for XP, for sure. you might get some additional plugins by purchasing v7 though. there's no real reason to use v2...

Re: Creamware Pulsar 1 Help/Support/Install files needed

write SC support and ask for a v4.5 keyfile. you'll only get a basic keyfile, but then you can use v4.5. at the same time, you'll get a link to the v4.5 install files. if you want to test v7, download and install it from the SC website. copy/paste the request string from the registration window that...

Re: 64bit drivers and modules: what is working and what is not

64 bit works GREAT for MOST uses. i appreciate the softened tone, however, i should point out that the work that you wish IS being done. it may be too slow for you, but i can assure you that nobody is ignoring anything at S|C. also, Holger doesn't have a "programming job". he has a company that he h...

Re: 3rd party plugins S|C

all plugin keys are transferable. Scope keys(v4, v5, v7) are not.

the key belongs to the hardware, not the user. that's how Scope was designed.

no soup for you. i wouldn't be surprised after all the negativity over the years if Holger throw his hands in the air and gives up. i use v7 in Win10 and produce music that gets to the radio for myself and others. it's not that the music that i make, record, mix and/or produce is so great, bu...

Re: 64bit drivers and modules: what is working and what is not

what is a "true" 64bit driver? the ASIO driver in v7 is a 64bit driver. the wave driver has a problem, but it is also a 64bit driver. almost everything works in 64bit. the exceptions are mainly devices that use samples like the STS or Bowen's sample oscs. the other main exception is XTC mode. v7 IS ...

there is no huge crew of folks coding. it's a big job and it takes a long time and costs a bunch of money.

nobody knows when it will be ready until it is ready. i can tell you that work has and is being done.
