Re: Will XITE and old PCI cards work together?

no, there's no way to connect multiple XITEs at this time.... the good thing is that an XITE is 6-10 times the power of a 15dsp card. it's actually almost impossible to change the protection scheme now. the keys have to stay with the card because eliminating a key from a card involves serious violen...

Re: Will XITE and old PCI cards work together?

Scope devices are not really PC devices.

on the other hand, if you move the cards to another computer, or if you use the XITE on any number of computers, including ones that do not belong to you, the same keys work on every machine.

Re: Will XITE and old PCI cards work together?

because that is how Scope has been since the beginnings of Creamware almost 20 years ago. because that is part of why Scope has never been cracked, which allows SonicCore to exist at all. because since the key is tied to a card, if you sell or trade cards, the keys go with them. because this allows ...

Re: Will XITE and old PCI cards work together?

the cards and XITE are two separate systems. they can work at the same time, but you would need to connect them via the external hardware i/o. licenses always belong to a specific Scope hardware serial number, not the user. this does not change with the XITE. you can transfer all the needed plugins(...

Re: can I use scope compressor plugin as external in mixer?

distortion can enter in the AD/DA, in the plugin internally(lower the input and output levels) or the analog mixer. you have to find where it is clipping. it might also be an incorrectly made cable or so many other things, BUT... you should be able to use Vinco in this way. don't you have an ADAT AD...

Re: Key for Scope 5.1

you can think of this site as valis' living room. don't get in a big fight inside the house and don't break things. those are the rules. if you wish to use O-Deus with v5 and it solves your routing issues, great! not everybody has the same goals. for some, system latency is a pretty big thing, for o...

Re: Discover DSP File

that is kind.

since the plugin works for you, that will probably do it. it's too bad when these things get lost.

valis is probably correct.

Re: Discover DSP File

might be an older sdk device, and maybe not 100% compatible, especially if it uses a sys or vxd file.

Re: Discover DSP File

that is a problem that can probably only be fixed with the SDK. it's not a dsp file issue.

no, it really doesn't, but do as you wish.
obviously, there are work-arounds and you have found them, which is fine for your needs.

Re: Routing Xite Effects to external mixing board

where are you mixing? on the Scope mixer or the Analog board? i don't get what channel you are trying to add fx to, or where it is. i think you are just flailing and not taking the time to follow the signal. what is connect to the ADAT i/o? if you are using an AD/DA, you can route the signal ANYWHER...

Re: Routing Xite Effects to external mixing board

what is sent to the effect? where does the signal come from?

usually, an aux is a SEND. of course there are aux RETURNS, but those are usually used when there are no channels left to return the fx to. routing a Scope effect to hardware is exactly like routing a Scope effect to the Scope mixer...
