Re: v7 drivers (64bit)

i'm not sure what the init is for.

i'm sure you are more knowledgeable about code than i am. i'm just suggesting the obvious. i won't say that i'm correct.

Re: Avoid Xite Scope crash

especially is "reset board if idle" is checked in the settings page of the device manager entry for the Scope hardware...

since v7, XITEs have the option to disable this Windows function...

Re: v7 drivers (64bit)

well, then it should work, as damn near every other ASIO host works.

i see it tries to initialize the control panel. there is no control panel.

Re: v7 drivers (64bit)

how does everyone else avoid a crash?

Scope can only respond to what it can respond to. it's not a soundcard.

Re: v7 drivers (64bit)

tell the supercollider programmers to stop trying to setup the soundcard or at least allow the function to time out and i bet it will work, too.

hmm, that's interesting.
in any case, i'm fairly certain it's temporary.

Re: Error notice - Can't start scope

i only asked about power because of the one time that it was working and then said that the hardware was not installed properly. that's a symptom of a system waking from sleep. feel free to disregard, it doesn't seem to apply.

Re: Error notice - Can't start scope

it's a known bug with the XITE-1D, as i said.
the software is trying to contact dsps that are not in the XITE-1D, but are in the XITE-1.

fresh install or over-the-top does not matter.
v7 installs correctly either way.

Re: Error notice - Can't start scope

ok, your experience suggested that maybe part of all of the computer went to sleep on you. check the XITE's entry in the device manager and be sure that "reset board if idle" is unchecked on the properties\settings page. also, in the Windows power settings that "link state power management" is disab...

Re: v7 drivers (64bit)

The signed, updated ASIO drivers work with Bitwig (or other applications that are finicky about sticking to spec) again it's not about "sticking to spec" regardless of what programmers of those apps might want to say. it's about the fact that the Scope card is not a Windows Sound Card(though it can...

Re: v7 drivers (64bit)

yes, i do.

it will take a super-genius to do that, which is why the original programmer was brought in for that specific job. if it was as simple as just adding a few lines of code, it would already have been done, of course.

Re: Error notice - Can't start scope

is that an XITE-1D?

if so, this is a known problem. there is a fix in the works.

what happens is that the software tries to contact dsps that don't exist in the XITE-1D, then throws up the error...

Re: Error notice - Can't start scope

heat might be the issue, so might the connection with the HDMI cable or the PCIe card. cleaning the PCIe card's connectors with either 99% pure alcohol or a good commercial contact cleaner(NEVER less than 99% pure alcohol!) might help. the dsps DO make quite a bit of heat, but they are usually ok wi...

try another HDMI cable.

this sounds like a hardware problem. when Scope starts, it does a diagnostics first....

did you check for the file? was it in your v5.1 install, but not v7?
