Re: v7 drivers (64bit)

Gary, do you think that the WDM (wave) drivers can be made entirely crackle-free?

Re: Korg Prologue

Synth sounds great, but the knobs they are using are just the most unpleasant.
Any other knob-type used in modern synths is better.
I guess they use these knobs because it is a design statement, a differentiation from other brands.
Ergonomics were not important.

Gary, do we get a notice on http://www.kvraudio.com/ ?
I think that would be smart, wake some sleepers and raise the dead.

Since v7 all seems to just run smoother.
What do you mean by smoother?
Did you have crashes with the previous version?

Create wavetable

Is it possible to create a wavetable within the Scope SDK?

Or can I use an external tool to do it and use that wavetable in Scope?

Re: Is there any such Motherboard that ....

Progress..! Perhaps, maybe, let's see.. I just got a secondary PC and decided to test it with my Scope cards. The board is a Gigabyte Z270-HD3P and it has two regular PCI slots. Both slots are at the bottom end, so it's possible to add a big graphics card without problems. I did the normal BIOS chan...

Re: A word of warning!

I also had this problem, but it self-corrected after I went into Playback devices and re-enabled the default device. I just recently installed Windows 10, so the OS was already in Test Mode (for unsigned drivers.) Did you install the current Creators Update for Windows 10? Yes, the problem came aft...

Re: Is there any such Motherboard that ....

Z270 only works if you only need a small number of Asio channels, so no Z270 is not as good as 4790k since 4790k allows for a lot of Asio channels to be used. I'm only reporting others experience since I've never used either processor but from what I've gathered you can basically get full functiona...

Re: Is there any such Motherboard that ....

How about an external solution for the PCI cards, has anyone tried this yet? Like the PCI cage from Startech here: https://www.startech.com/Cards-Adapters/Slot-Extension/PCI-Express-to-Four-Slot-PCI-Expansion-Bay~PEX2PCI4 If the motherboard chipset supports native PCI, then the PCI-express slot also...

Why would an AD/DA give less PCI overflows than the ES-3?

Re: Expert Sleepers - Silent Way

I use two ES-3 as outputs.

Works fine, but also easy to get PCI overflow if everything fires at once.

Not sure I would recommend for someone who uses a lot of Scope DSP and effects.

Re: Komplete 11 Ultimate Worth It?

The main gem in Ultimate is Razor. It's the only synth that is not part of regular Komplete, probably because it sells a lot on its own. Whether or not the rest of the lot justifies the price depends on what genre(s) you are producing, many people have no need for the orchestra, accoustic bass, drum...

ok, thanks )

Still wondering though - what components would possibly need a "warm up" on these aged cards, in order to function normally?
