I was hoping that the A16 could take sync down both Z-link and ADAT, as it's ultimately the same source!

I wonder, would it be possible to use one z-link (->Luna2) and one ADAT (->Pulsar2) connection on the A16U to use its 16 channels? This would then leave one ADAT connection on my Pulsar2 left, and another 8 channels available if I bought an UltraGain or something?

no, while i believe that you can send data from Z-Link to ADAT via the A16, you can't attach devices to both connectors and expect to use both devices. to do what you describe, you'd need another A16. it';s either Z-Link OR ADAT, not Z-Link AND ADAT. both should work equally well. yes, ADAT is limited to 24bit/48khz maximum resolution, with s/mux it can run half of the channels but at 24bit/96khz. Z-Link will do 24/96 with all 16 channels. Great. So I was thinking..... with a Luna2 and Pulsar2 Classic, I could use the ZLink on the Luna for 8 ch...

I have an A16 Ultra, currently connected via a single Z-Link to my Luna2 card. I'm looking to add another card to my system both for DSP and increased I/O. My question is this: is there any difference between using the A16 via Z-Link, or via ADAT? Is ADAT more limited by bit depth and samplerate?

As title says. I'm in the UK. I've been dozy and recently missed out on some ebay auctions (A16 for £280, Luna2 for £25).

Any chance of a price for the a16?

How much for the a16 converter? Does it have Zlink?

Does the A16 work at all with the Luna2? I assume if it does, you only get 8 channels? Could you add a second Luna2 to the system and then get the full 16 from the a16? (Using Z-Link)

I had issues like this on a Core2Duo newbuild, and they were resolved by not using the Creamware midi modules in my projects. This was easy for me as I work in XTC mode. I guess it might be more difficult for you.
