SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs? it seems that one post is suffisant to talk about new features and fixes, and 9 pages of posts for bugs... :-? ... i'm glad not to payed them to be considered as beta-tester! maybe SC want to convince us our old gear is out-of-age, to make us buy the new Xite gear....

The word STILL implies that the Xite has a previous history of crashing. The Xite has no previous history of anything yet, that was my point.
I agrre, I choiced the wrong english world, I was reffering to the old hardware, I'm sure none will be confused..

what is the need of an 8 core macpro when you get the xite?

an "old" g5 bi-proc can be find for 1000E, it's enough , unkess you plane to do video with your xite!

and the first gen of G5 hold 3 normal PCI port, nice to add some in/out to the box.

so, as second hand gear, it will be half of 320E for a 14dsp board.

unfortunatly you can't put more than 3 14dsp boards in a PC...only 45DSP, near to be hasbeen!

then a luna will cost 10E... :D

..and realize that I already get the reply this morning! the board is 169 euros + 50E for shipping cost :) just use the standart AL1401 and AL1402 chipset duo (from WAVEFRONT) to interface this module with your scope ADAT ports if you don't want to tweak directly your scope board the AL1401 is quiet...
