Re: MPA: A whole new Chapter for SCOPE and you are invited

Faxi: I certainly agree with every word you say about SCOPE v4. That's why I had stated But unless these new people could use v7 and XITE and the latest SDKs - me and MPA can't build on the SCOPE as an environment which is part of the MPA fabric. SCOPE v4 is just way too old to offer it as an enviro...

Re: MPA: A whole new Chapter for SCOPE and you are invited

Does it mean you can still do stuff with version 4, but SC are the only ones allowed to actually maintain and develop the platform further? Liquid & Sounddesigner: Yes, both of you are right! But why not look one step further? Could this MPA thing create a bigger userbase? That COULD bring some...

Re: MPA: A whole new Chapter for SCOPE and you are invited

Marco: Yes Holger has interesting stuff which could well play along. But anyway MPA is likely the most scalable thing ever seen in our industry. POLARIS is huge, high-end and a has high-end price tag. But things do not have to be that large. Wait till you see :)

Re: MPA: A whole new Chapter for SCOPE and you are invited

You turned your back on the system and the community. It simply was the best scenario for everyone. In 2007 working with Holger towards that he would take over further development was the best I could do for the platform. SC actually needed me to "turn my back on the platform" to do the X...

Re: MPA: A whole new Chapter for SCOPE and you are invited

To the contrary. I was saying it looks like they complement each other. No? (Liquid - Sorry I got you wrong.) Yes it does! Synergy all over the place. There is no development required from Holger. The dock is actually done. Only the question whether it will dock to SCOPE 4 or SCOPE 5/6/7/8/9/X. For...

DragonSF: Awsome!! That is the thing. There'll be more such toys for you soon.
Here is also where XITE could come in, I'd hope.

Dante: the form factor is actually different but otherwise you've gotten really close. Your fundamental idea is perfectly spot on.

Re: MPA: Makers

It looks like Frank is thinking more in a way like: "Why only PC ?". That's precisely right! Networked systems are very inclusive and have the potential to bring all kinds of things together, even unusual ones! We at MPA embrace the Arduino but also community CPUs like the Pi or the Bones...

Re: MPA: Mixers

Thanks for your comments... Faxi: Where do you mix if not in SCOPE? Mr Arkadin: Hear your concerns. Cloud is actually cool as an option for storage and collaboration, but for any operation of the system you'll be entirely independent from the cloud. Liquid: When you mix in SCOPE, are you running you...

Re: MPA: A whole new Chapter for SCOPE and you are invited

Relax, the POLARIS evolution and MPA have much in common but they could hardly be more different as products.
LE in case you were asserting Holger and Salzbrenner or their respective products were competing - I don't think they actually would.

Re: MPA: A whole new Chapter for SCOPE and you are invited

why us first and why do you want/need us at this juncture in your venture? Ronnie: I am just handing out an invitation. Much of it is courtesy. As in: when you throw a loudish party you invite your neighbors to join in. You're free to hate it or come around and enjoy the party! But you have not bee...

MPA: A whole new Chapter for SCOPE and you are invited

Hello dear SCOPE Users, It has been a few years since I've been to this forum last. I am impressed to see just how alive the SCOPE community still is in 2018 - nearing its 20th anniversary: March 11-15, 1998 at Musikmesse Frankfurt was when my team and me introduced the SCOPE. Thanks to you and SC, ...

On a side note.... Holger and me have just been talking on the phone (a minute ago), and it was the most productive conversation we had in a while. I am positive we can sort out our differences quite soon and get everything back in line. We remained we would want the forum to know about our call. Th...

Most of what Holger said is correct. Use Audio products are supported by Use Audio and their distributors, certainly not by Sonic Core. And although they own the same technology, the companies are not related. Sonic Core and Use Audio will each have their own agenda, which was explicity desired and ...

Please welcome Use Audio to the world of SCOPE

Hello everyone at Planet Z, As always, you are the first to know.... You may be aware that inDSP and Sonic Core collaborated in taking over technology from CreamWare. Both companies have same rights in the SCOPE technology. Other than Sonic Core, inDSP was never meant to be or become a brand, as inD...

you can let your breath out now...

Hello everyone on PlanetZ, I promised to come back with news as they break - so here we go... Two independant companies, inDSP and Sonic Core have teamed up and have just completed the acquisition of the rights to CreamWare’s technology. Not only that - Sonic Core is located in Germany and will cont...
