Re:
the Parameter lock is accessible via the menus on the NOAH it self, not through software. Try to check this setting + the OS mode which should be set to Win.

Re:
You may also check the setting of the "Parameter lock" function. This is a function which either lets each individual preset change global settings, or on the opposite hand, to lave the global settings in a fixed status not affected by the changing of presets. Not likely, but this just mig...

Re:
I did some faulty attempts on installing Noah 1.1 on my new laptop. I kept trying to install the software with Noah connected to one USB port. Then after connecting the box to another USB port, I managed to install all the 3 drivers sucessfully. Make sure the unit is set to Win and not Mac. My advic...

Re: Go to church! (with a twist)
Thank you Jimmy and Next to nothn, for your comments! The S80 is still a good instrument for Rhodes sound. I bought mine in the year 2000. I think it has been surpassed by other manufacturers such as Clavia and their Nord stage models. I have not tried that though. I did a gig with my jazz quartet s...

Go to church! (with a twist)
Well, not so sure about posting this track, but you may find it quite extraordinary/funny to hear Norwegian rap phrases on "digital literacy in music eucation" replacing Ice Cubes original lyrics. Half a year ago I made an attempt at recreating the bakcing track of Ice cube's "Go to c...

Re: Synths Currently Available For Noah EX
Cool - next you will probably find yourself chasing for a control surface for realtime tweaking the parameters of the synths. I'll recommend the Behringer BCR 2000 for which there are templates for all synths. You'll find the templates here on Planetz.

Re: SPDIF optical trouble
Did you route the output to SPDIF at the Noah Mixer? By default the output of the mixer is set to analogue. You may have to change that manually.

Re: Noah and Ableton live 7?
You will need software version 1.1 for ASIO drivers. As far asI remember ASIO is not part of the 1.0 software.

I am quite fon of Ableton Live 7.0 and use it on my laptop which is connected to Noah EX. I know that the preferences dialogue box gives you some options. What are your settings in the Ableton environment?

Re: Noah random noise
Alfonso, You are right that it sounds like some sort of digital feedback, but it is not. I have checked and double checked again. I think what I am experiencing what Creamware discusses in the Readme file on the 1.1. update of the software: "There is an associated setup dialog (to be found in t...

Re: Noah random noise
Alfonso, it is not a ground loop issue this time. This sudden noise burst appears when I am working in my home studio and it is not similar to the constant hum caused by ground loops. The sound is not affected at all until these sudden changes. I have tried different settings on latency, buffer and ...

Re: Noah and Ableton live 7?
I had to send the analog in to USB1/2 in the Noah mixer: I believe this is what did the trick. I may also have neglected some settings in the Live MIxer.

Noah random noise
I have previously explained problems with NOAH and its apparent sensitivity to grond loops. It sounds like it amplifies the internal activities of my lap top, such as when moving the mouse cursor. The review of NOAH in Electronic musician refers to a ticking sound reminiscent of a motorboat, if I re...
