I think it has not been prooved that malicious code would works

the expander is the contrary of a compressor : instead of lowering dynamics at a certain treshold, it raise dynamics. My typical use is synth percussions, or if i want more dynamics. You would also add a compressor after an expander to avoid overload or to limit/compress.

it seems that you don't need a pre-amp ?
so you still have the compression and equalizer of the MQ3. not sure you need that with all the things you have .

I'm not experienced with looping in STS but it seems pretty hard (compared to my EPS 16+r, that i still use: it's incredible how it sounds so much better now plugged into pulsar....).

Thanks for your answer. Well, i used to record bass from an amp but that was long time ago, when recording were not digital. Now i have a friend who want to record some tune in my sytem.
